David Holden


David is a specialist infrastructure and construction lawyer with nearly 15 years’ experience in New Zealand and the UK, advising on social and economic infrastructure, power generation and construction projects.

David joined Anderson Lloyd as a partner in July 2014 having been a partner at Russell McVeagh in Auckland.

His specialist expertise is in Public Private Partnerships (PPPs), where he has led the legal team advising the successful consortia on four of the first five NZ PPP projects, as well as acting as local counsel for the lenders on the fifth NZ PPP project.  David is currently advising the preferred bidders on the Puhoi to Warkworth PPP project and the Tauranga Social Housing Transfer.

David is described as “a step above other PPP lawyers” in the 2016 Legal 500 (Asia Pacific), is listed in Best Lawyers in New Zealand 2014-15 and in 2015-2016 as a leading lawyer in Project Finance and Development Practice and is also recommended in Doyles Leading Construction and Infrastructure Lawyers NZ 2016.
