New Auckland Office Enhances National Connections
Anderson Lloyd continues on its growth path – having recently opened an Auckland office led by three former Russell McVeagh partners.
The announcement is understood to have been one of the most significant moves within Auckland’s legal fraternity in recent years.
Geoff Busch, Chris Bargery and David Holden are an experienced and dynamic team with strong reputations nationally and internationally, says Anderson Lloyd Chief Executive Richard Greenaway.
“They bring complementary, specialist knowledge to the firm in banking and finance, corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and infrastructure projects,” he says.
“This added horsepower adds value to many of our South Island clients, in particular commercial clients and those involved with very large projects in the Christchurch rebuild space.”
Richard says all three partners have worked offshore and their expertise is recognised in international legal directories.
“The Auckland office is the latest advance in Anderson Lloyd’s 150 years of legal heritage. It enhances our national connections, broadens our skill base and deepens our industry expertise.”
Auckland partner Geoff Busch says the trio was attracted to Anderson Lloyd because of the way the firm operates co-operatively – forming lean, expert teams that bring the best minds to each project.
“There’s a lot of synergy between Anderson Lloyd’s expertise and the transactional, infrastructure-focused work that the three of us do,” says Geoff.
“The firm’s partner base has a uniformly high quality and includes some leading corporate and infrastructure lawyers who’ve worked on very significant transactions. We liked the fact that our clients will get the best of both worlds – the efficiency and attention of a smart boutique backed by the horsepower of a large national firm.”
