Rebecca Laney

Rebecca is an Associate in the Employment team at Anderson Lloyd, based in the Dunedin office. Rebecca works with a range of clients on all things employment including disciplinary, performance, investigation processes, restructuring, worker accommodation, employment agreements and policies. She also regularly works in the health and safety space advising on PCBU obligations, officers’ duties, health and safety investigations, strategies and policies.
Rebecca has a particular interest in education within the employment law space and works closely advising principals in matters that impact their employment and a number of school boards.
Prior to joining Anderson Lloyd, Rebecca worked in a specialist employment and health and safety law practice, as well as a human resources and health and safety consultancy firm and brings a wealth of experience in employment and health and safety law. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology from Otago University. She was admitted to the bar in Dunedin in 2013. She also holds an Association of Workplace Investigator certificate.
Rebecca is a trustee of Life Matters Suicide Prevention Trust and is a member of the Otago Women’s Lawyers’ Society.
