Georgina is a Senior Associate in the corporate & commercial team, and is based in Anderson Lloyd’s Christchurch office. Georgina advises on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters including mergers, acquisitions and divestments, equity capital markets transactions, private securities offerings, commercial contracting, compliance and overseas investment. Before joining Anderson Lloyd in early 2018, Georgina was a senior associate at Harmos Horton Lusk and solicitor at Russell McVeagh in their specialist corporate law teams.
Since joining Anderson Lloyd, Georgina has also built up significant experience in the hotel sector, including advising on the acquisition or divestment of hotels, preparing and negotiating hotel management agreements and lease arrangements, and providing structuring advice.
Georgina presents the New Zealand Law Society’s Introduction to Company Law course, and is a land law tutor at the University of Canterbury. Georgina is a founding trustee of the Canterbury Sports Development Academy charitable trust, and has a continued involvement in sport both locally in Canterbury and nationally.
Georgina graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours), and was admitted to the bar in early 2011.
