Terms – Client Care

Our terms of engagement contains the information we are required to provide to clients under the Rules of Conduct and Client Care for Lawyers issued by the New Zealand Law Society.

These are our settlement requirements which are in accordance with Appendix One of the Property Law Section Guidelines (July 2012).

Before we can make an electronic payment into your bank account, we need to be provided with evidence of your account name and number. Payments to you

When making payments to us, payment needs to be three working days before the date of the outgoing transaction. Payments to us 

If you are US citizen or a US tax resident, and if we hold funds for you in our trust account, we need you to complete a consent form (Company, Individual/Joint, Trust) so that we may release your information to our bank.  This is required by the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act and in preparation for the Common Reporting Standards which commence from 1 July 2017.  For further information please click here.
