Anderson Lloyd continues to position itself as an industry leader, taking out three awards at last night’s (August 7, 2014) Australasian Women in Business Law Awards in Sydney.

One of the South Island’s largest law firms, which last week announced the opening of an Auckland office, was recognised as the Best Australasian Firm for Talent Management and Best Firm in Christchurch, while Queenstown Partner Kerry O’Donnell was named the Best in Real Estate.

The annual awards recognise firms for gender diversity, innovation, mentoring, work-life balance, pro bono work and talent management.

Anderson Lloyd chief executive Richard Greenaway says the firm is proud of its longstanding reputation for promoting and supporting women into senior roles.

“For several years Anderson Lloyd has worked strategically to establish a strong talent management programme that has enabled us to recruit, develop and retain the very best lawyers.

“The number of women partners and senior staff are a testament to that strategy, as is the recent establishment of an Auckland office and a 30 percent growth in partner numbers in Christchurch during the past nine months.”

Anderson Lloyd was shortlisted in another six categories – Best Australasian Firm for Work-Life Balance, Best Australasian Firm for Pro Bono Work, Best Gender Diversity Initiative by an Australasian Firm, Best Mentoring Programme by Australasian Firm, Best New Zealand Firm for Women in Business Law and Senior Associate Taryn Gudmanz was shortlisted for the Rising Star in Litigation category.
