Genevieve Davidson is a Senior Solicitor in Anderson Lloyd’s Resource Management team, based in Dunedin. She joined the firm in 2026 and advises on a range of environmental, planning and local government matters.

Genevieve has seven years’ post-qualification experience, having worked in the Environment Court, Māori Land Court and Waitangi Tribunal. She provides legal advice on local government matters, planning and consenting processes, and Environment Court proceedings.

In addition to her environmental and planning expertise, Genevieve has experience in matters arising under Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, the Treaty of Waitangi Act 1975 and the Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) (Customary Marine Title) Amendment Act 2025. She has advised iwi and hapū, tribal authorities and community groups on a range of complex legal issues.

Genevieve holds an LLB from the University of Otago, along with a Bachelor of Music and Postgraduate Diploma in Music from Victoria University. She is a member of the Resource Management Law Association and the Otago Women’s Law Society.
