Ben Hood

Ben is an Associate in Anderson Lloyd’s Litigation team, based in Christchurch. He specialises in civil litigation and has a broad range of experience advising clients across a variety of disputes and sectors.

Ben joined Anderson Lloyd in July 2026, following several years’ experience across boutique and mid-sized firms, where he developed a strong background in civil litigation and employment law. He has advised clients across the finance, education, and construction and development sectors, as well as individuals including teachers, high net worth individuals, and landlords, and is experienced in representing clients in mediations, arbitrations and court proceedings.

Ben holds an LLB from the University of Canterbury and was admitted to the bar in 2019. He is a member of the Law Society, and is actively involved in the profession through his role on the TLANZ Technology and Law Committee, as well as with Canterbury Tech.
