Barbara Lomas

Barbara is an experienced construction lawyer in Anderson Lloyd’s Construction team. She has a broad range of construction and infrastructure projects knowledge both in New Zealand and overseas and has previously worked at Baker & McKenzie in their Melbourne and Singapore offices and as an in-house legal advisor for the North America region at global engineering firm ARUP in New York. Barbara has worked on PPP road and rail projects located in Melbourne and Canada, wind farm and dam projects in New Zealand, along with a range of commercial construction projects in various sectors.

Barbara graduated from the University of Waikato with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons, Environmental Law)) and Bachelor of Social Sciences (majoring in Geography). She was admitted to the bar in New Zealand in 1999 and later in Victoria, Australia in 2005.

Barbara is a member of the Society of Construction Law New Zealand and the National Association of Women in Construction
