Samantha is a Senior Associate in the Environment and Planning team, based in our Christchurch office. She joined Anderson Lloyd in 2022, having previously worked at a boutique environmental law firm and another large national law firm.
Samantha specialises in environment, planning and local government law, with a strong interest in renewable energy, urban development, and climate change.
She is known for her pragmatic, collaborative approach and enjoys working closely with clients to understand their objectives and deliver clear, strategic advice. Samantha has advised a wide range of clients on plan processes, compliance and enforcement matters, resource consenting, due diligence investigations, and fast track applications. She also brings experience in local government, advising both territorial and regional authorities, including through a nine‑month secondment.
Samantha graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Classics) and was admitted to the bar in December 2010. She is a member of the Resource Management Law Association, Women’s Infrastructure Network, and the Canterbury Women’s Legal Association.
