Sarah specialises in resource management law and enjoys the variety of legal issues that arise and high relevance to day to day life.
Sarah builds strong relationships with clients and enjoys collaboration and problem solving. She advises clients on consenting and planning processes, compliance and due diligence, with experience in agribusiness and project work.
Sarah began her legal career at the Environment Court, building a strong knowledge base, firstly as a Hearing Manager and later as a Legal & Research Officer. These roles included case management, research and providing legal opinions to Environment Court Judges.
Sarah graduated from the University of Canterbury in 2001 with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts, with Honours in Linguistics. She was admitted to the Bar in 2002.
Sarah is a member of the Resource Management Law Association and the Canterbury Women’s Legal Association.
