George Willis

George is a Senior Associate in the corporate commercial team and is based in our Auckland office. He specialises in the energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors, with experience in project financing, public-private partnerships and a wide variety of commercial contracts. George spent 5 years in Dublin working in the Corporate & Finance department of an Irish law firm before joining Anderson Lloyd in March 2023. Prior to moving overseas, George worked in the Environment, Planning and Natural Resources team of another leading New Zealand law firm.
George holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Otago, majoring in History, and was admitted to the bar in Auckland in 2015. George also has experience in resource management, banking & finance, and sports law, and provides advice to clients primarily in the infrastructure, energy and real estate sectors.
George is a member of the Society of Construction Law New Zealand.
