Building Networks 2023 Building Safety Conference & Expo

Anderson Lloyd Senior Associate Steve O’Dea and Associate Rebecca Laney were recently featured presenters at the Building Networks 2023 Building Safety Conference & Expo.

Anderson Lloyd were gold sponsors of this Building Safety conference which took place in Auckland over 16/17 August. Over 100 passionate building and fire safety experts from a range of organisations gathered to attend the two-day event, to learn more on the future of building compliance and consenting.

Industry leaders addressed a wide range of topics including the future of building consents, compliance, and the sector. Presentations covered a variety of topics including managing buildings in emergencies, building codes and standards, lessons from case law, and legal remedies. The conference also focused on staff training, healthy homes rules, changes to the Unit Titles Act, technology in the Built Environment, health and safety, fire safety design, and compliance in complex organisations.

Steve and Rebecca shared their insights on the future of legal remedies and case law on health & safety and construction contract matters.
