Institute of Directors ‘Unpacking Governance for SMEs’ event

Anderson Lloyd Property Partner, Kerry O’Donnell, enjoyed the opportunity of being on the panel for Institute of Directors’ recent ‘Unpacking Governance for SMEs event’, held in partnership with the Queenstown Business Chamber of Commerce. On the panel alongside Kerry was IoD Chartered Fellow and senior director Paul Moodie, and Mat Weir, CE and founder of First Table.

Kerry and Paul shared valuable insights into good governance practices across both commercial and not-for-profit sectors, including the differences they’ve observed between boards that clearly distinguish governance from management.

Mat’s story about his journey leading a fast-growing global business — and the importance of establishing a governance structure to attract investors — was particularly compelling.
